Truseal has been in the insulating glass business since the late 1960s. In 1979, it introduced the first all-in-one warm edge spacer system at the Boston Glass Show. This patented technology incorporated its own spacer, desiccant and butyl, eliminating the need for corner keys. The unique all-in-one spacer system offered the IG industry a better way to manufacture insulating glass windows compared with conventional aluminum spacer bar. Truseal’s revolutionary insulating glass spacer technology redirected the way people assembled IG units, allowing fabricators to reduce production time, cut labor costs and, most importantly, deliver improved thermal performance in each and every window.
Still today, Truseal maintains its leadership role in the marketplace by continuing to meet the demand of IG fabricators with its innovative high-performance warm edge spacers. Truseal products and technologies are used by more than 1,000 worldwide manufacturers of insulating glass. Both semiautomated and automated IG production systems are in place around the world, providing manufacturers with high-speed fabrication using Truseal high-performance insulating glass systems. Besides residential and light commercial windows and doors, Truseal insulating glass spacers are used in a wide range of applications, such as high-speed trains, automobiles, buses, commercial freezers, solar panels and refrigeration units.
